Susan Sweigart, MS/LPCC, Owner/Outpatient Therapist:
Susan is the owner and outpatient therapist at MVC, opening the practice at 12 W. Wenger Road, Suite B1, in Englewood, Ohio on 12/1/2009. She is independently licensed as a professional clinical counselor and has been practicing in the Miami Valley since 1997. She has had a heavy focus working with children, adolescents, and parents. Having worked in Community Mental Health through Good Samaritan Hospital, and in private practice at Pediatric Associates of Dayton and with Dr. Moon at New Perspectives Counseling, Susan has worked with clients of all ages and with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues, including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Oppositional-Defiance, PTSD, Life Changes, Grief, Marital Problems, and Parenting issues. She has presented at the All Ohio Counselor Conference on the use of guided visualization that includes a spiritual component. Susan provides individual, family, and couples therapy using empathy and encouragement. She is quite versed in using Telemental Health online for her clients, especially during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic.
Jennifer Lawson MS/LPCC, Outpatient Therapist:
Jenn is independently licensed as a professional clinical counselor and has worked with children and adolescents through the Greene Count Children’s Services Board as a Family Mentor beginning in June, 2006. She has facilitated individual and group counseling through South Community, Inc., has been a Residential Counselor at the Greene County Juvenile court-Girls Residential Treatment Center, and has spent the last 4 years working as a School-based Mental Health Counselor for partial hospitalization through South Community and with Greene County ESC in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Jenn has worked primarily with elementary and middle school aged children in individual and family counseling in both school and home settings, as well as through telemental health. She is also quite eager to work with young adults in high school and beyond.
Fees: As of December 1, 2009: Most insurances are accepted at Miami Valley Counseling. However, we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid insurances as either a primary or secondary insurance, and are not able to provide services to those with these insurances. Prior to scheduling, please contact your insurance provider to make sure that Susan and/or Beth are listed as a provider for you.
Without insurance (self-pay):
- Initial Assessment: $100.00
- Individual/Family Sessions: Full Session (60 min)—$80.00
- Half Session (30 min)—$40.00
Co-pays and Deductibles are due in full at each session. There is a no-show fee of $65.00 for “late cancellations (less than 24-hour notice for non-emergencies) and no-shows” which is charged at the end of the service day. Refusal to pay this fee may result in termination of services. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards for your convenience.
