Miami Valley Counseling welcomes you to enter a counseling experience that will provide a place of safety and trustworthiness, helping you to explore your issues that keep you feeling “stuck.” Our goal is to help you move through your “stuck points” quickly, yet thoroughly, with the utmost of professional care and confidentiality.

Susan Sweigart, MS/LPCC, Owner/Outpatient Therapist:

Susan is the owner and outpatient therapist at MVC. She is independently licensed as a professional clinical counselor and has been practicing in the Miami Valley since 1997. She has had a heavy focus working with children, adolescents, and parents. Having worked in Community Mental Health through Good Samaritan Hospital, and in private practice at Pediatric Associates of Dayton and with Dr. Moon at New Perspectives Counseling, Susan has worked with clients of all ages and with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues, including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Oppositional-Defiance, PTSD, Life Changes, Grief, Marital Problems, and Parenting issues. She has presented at the All Ohio Counselor Conference on the use of guided visualization that includes a spiritual component. Susan provides individual, family, and couples therapy using empathy and encouragement.

Ellen Miller, MS/LPCC-S, Outpatient Therapist:

Ellen is independently licensed as a professional clinical counselor and has her supervisor’s designation. Ellen has been practicing in the Miami Valley since 1995 through community mental health settings. Ellen enjoys working with clients of all ages and with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues, including Anxiety, Depression, Life Changes, Grief, Marital Problems, Parenting issues, and also enjoys Christian Counseling. She provides individual, family, and couples therapy, while helping clients see their strengths as she is empathic and encouraging.

 

Fees: As of December 1, 2009: Most insurances are accepted at Miami Valley Counseling. Prior to scheduling, please contact your insurance provider to make sure that Susan and/or Ellen are listed as a provider for you.

Without insurance (self-pay):

  • Initial Assessment: $100.00
  • Individual/Family Sessions: Full Session (60 min)—$80.00
  • Half Session (30 min)—$45.00

Co-pays and Deductibles are due in full at each session. There is a no-show fee for “late cancellations (less than 24-hour notice for non-emergencies) and no-shows” which is due at the next appointment, or by mail or payment over the phone, within 30 days of the missed appointment. Refusal to pay this fee may result in termination of services. Checks may be made out to Miami Valley Counseling, LLC. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards for your convenience. Medicare and Medicaid clients are not able to be seen at this facility, even if they are a secondary insurance, but CARESOURCE is accepted. Missed appointment fees are half the usual fees: $65.00 for a missed appointment.
